Komo POV

Caroline Jones' use and manipulation of material, from Mozart alabaster, to serpentine stone, to oil on canvas shows great range and flexibility all at once as she reacts to the material in the moment, adjusting her process with humility and grace. There’s a worldliness to her work, a clear expression of her extensive global travels and an empathy that emanates in what she creates.

About the Artist

Caroline Jones

Briton Caroline PM Jones is an artist and sculptor, based in Topanga, California. Her process of creation has come from journeys taken both literal and allegorical, across land, across surfaces and through the mind. She has painted and sculpted and had studios in Europe and Asia and America over the last 30+ years. Her techniques has always been traditional with hundreds of sketching and plein air painting at their core. But her life has been bohemian and adventurous, and continues that way today with my geodesic dome home and studio perched above the clouds between Topanga and Malibu.
